Frequently asked questions
- How many colors are extracted?
- By default, the tool extracts 5 dominant colors. You can configure this from 3 to 10. Fewer colors give you the most prominent palette; more colors capture subtler variations.
- Can I use the extracted colors in CSS?
- Yes. Each color includes its hex code, which you can copy directly. The tool also shows RGB and HSL values for use in CSS custom properties or design tool inputs.
- Does it work on logos with few colors?
- Yes. For logos and flat designs, the extracted colors will closely match the actual colors used. For photographs, the palette represents the most visually dominant color regions.
