Frequently asked questions
- Is the audio also reversed?
- Yes, by default the audio track is reversed along with the video. You can choose to strip the audio instead if you prefer a silent result. All processing happens locally on your server.
- What is the maximum file size supported?
- There is no hard-coded limit. The maximum depends on the disk space and memory available on your self-hosted instance. Because files are streamed through your own server, nothing is uploaded to the cloud.
- Will reversing reduce the video quality?
- No. SnapOtter re-encodes at the same quality settings as the original file. The output resolution, frame rate, and bitrate match the source. Processing is done locally so there is no re-compression from a third-party service.
